Sixteen-year-old physics nerd Aysel is obsessed with plotting her own death. With a mother who can barely look at her without wincing, classmates who whisper behind her back, and a father whose violent crime rocked her small town, Aysel is ready to turn her potential energy into nothingness.

There’s only one problem: she’s not sure she has the courage to do it alone. But once she discovers a website with a section called Suicide Partners, Aysel’s convinced she’s found her solution: a teen boy with the username FrozenRobot (aka Roman) who’s haunted by a family tragedy is looking for a partner.

Even though Aysel and Roman have nothing in common, they slowly start to fill in each other’s broken lives. But as their suicide pact becomes more concrete, Aysel begins to question whether she really wants to go through with it. Ultimately, she must choose between wanting to die or trying to convince Roman to live so they can discover the potential of their energy together. Except that Roman may not be so easy to convince.

“You're like a grey sky. You're beautiful, even though you don't want to be.”

This book was something else I have to admit. I did not expect to read such a beautiful and mesmerising novel. I cried I laughed throughout this book. This is the type of book when after you finish reading It you cant stop thinking about it. The characters through this book, Aysel and Roman were both such amazing characters. I could relate to both of these characters. They both hurt my heart and made me smile at the same time.

“One spark can change everything.”

This book really made me rethink things made me question a lot of things; the author did a beautiful job with the characters. They seem so real and alive like I know them, like there a real live person and I think that’s what I loved the most about this book how real of feels. How depression is a serious thing and how you sometimes need that one friend to help you. This book really hit me in the heart with all the feels.

“Maybe we all have darkness inside of us and some of us are better at dealing with it than others.”

My heart and other black holes is an intense book that deals with heavy issues, but also manages to be funny and inspiring at the same time.

“Maybe we all have darkness inside of us and some of us are better at dealing with it than others.”

This book is a gripping page-turner with such a meaningful story that I think everyone should read. This book has made it to my top reads of 2015 and Jasmine Warga is now one of my auto-buy authors.
